Memory of a Muffin by a. d. camerone

Memory of a Muffin

The muffin pan was on top of the toaster oven.
The pan at first appeared empty,
But, in the bottom of most of the dozen, muffin holes,
Some crumbs from muffins past remained,
So that when I turned on the oven,
The smell of muffins filled the air.

As the sweet scent of muffins filled the room,
I
Tasted a memory of you.

I Stood at William Carlos Williams’ Grave by A. D. Camerone

I stood at William Carlos Williams’ Grave.
I thought about the poetry he made.
His thoughts made out of words morphed
Into images.
The images becoming
Bridges to words
Made out of thoughts.

I stood at William Carlos Williams’ Grave.
I thought about the quantum transfer that is made,
When spooky action defines reality,
Faster than the speed of light.
When entanglement decides
The bonds defining an identity
Made out of observation.

I stood at William Carlos Williams’ Grave.
I thought of the present,
Sandwiched between times gone past,
And times to come.
The Now becoming
A speculation
Made from an interpretation.

I stood at William Carlos Williams’ Grave,
And left a rock on his headstone
To tell him I was there.
